After hours! Downton Abbey's Lily James and Laura Carmichael party after royal gala dinner
THEY spent the first part of their evening mingling with Prince William, but come midnight Laura Carmichael and Lily James were partying in the heart of London.
The 'Downton Abbey' stars were pictured leaving celebrity haunt Groucho in the early hours this morning, and had clearly been keen to carry on the celebrations following Prince William's royal gala dinner at Windsor Castle.
As they emerged from the London hotspot, both ladies were still wearing their glamorous gowns and completed their looks with black leather biker jackets.
Lily, 25, who plays Lady Rose MacClare in the hit ITV1 period drama, looked a little worse for wear as she headed to her waiting car and appeared to be in need of her bed.
The Surrey-born actress looked lovely in a black floor-length feathered gown which featured a sequinned top and a short train.
Laura, on the other hand, opted for a slinky, silver gown that included all-over embellishment and certainly showed off her petite frame.
The 27-year-old, who takes on the role of Lady Edith Crawley in 'Downton Abbey', left the Groucho club with a male companion and even signed autographs for waiting fans - despite it being 2am.
Laura, who also attended the gala dinner with former co-star Allen Leech, spoke of the new series whilst at the royal occasion.
"We’re halfway through shooting the next series of Downton Abbey but the Duke didn’t ask for any plot details," she said. "He is probably waiting until it comes out in September."
