'I wanted to numb the pain' Alicia Douvall opens up about her suicide attempt last year
ALICIA Douvall has opened up about her suicide attempt, revealing that she was at "breaking point."
The cosmetic-surgery addict, who once dated Simon Cowell, admitted that she was at rock bottom when she tried to take her own life by swallowing a whole load of pills after a mountain of debts built up.
"Your mind in a very powerful thing. Everyone has a breaking point and I had reached my breaking point," she told This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.
"Things were getting worse and worse and worse. I couldn't see a way out of it. It was all coming on top of me, the debts were getting on top of me, I was getting threats to take me to court.
"People were phoning me all the time and I couldn't handle it."
According to the blonde, the start of her dark days were triggered when her ex-boyfriend - who funded her lavish lifestyle - left her for a lap dancer, leaving her questioning her own ability to look after her two daughters.
"I wrote a note for Georgia and Papaya for when she was older," she revealed.
"I really felt like they would be better off without me. I felt like i had failed and couldn't provide.
"I was having migraines from all the stress I was enduring. So I started taking tablets, parecetemols and parecetemol. I needed to numb the pain."
She added: "It wasn't like a conscious decision, it was like a cry for help."
Alicia, who has had more than 350 cosmetic surgery operations, went on to reveal that the combination of pills and alcohol simply knocked her out for a few hours, leaving her knowing "it wasn't meant to be."
