Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael leaves little to the imagination in revealing LBD
SHE plays straight-laced Lady Edith in hit period drama Downton Abbey, but Laura Carmichael cut an entirely different figure last night when she headed out in a dress which left little to the imagination.
The 28-year-old decided to show off her sexier side as she made her way to the Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibition at the V&A, opting for a cleavage-bearing dress which she teamed with an edgy leather jacket.
Oozing confidence, the actress posed up a storm in the number, which stopped just above her knee and featured a sheer panel at the front - making the most of her slender figure and ample assets.
Managing to keep an air of elegance about her though, Laura teamed the fancy frock with a pair of strappy sandals and kept her hair and make-up minimal.
She wore her blonde locks loosely tucked behind her ear while opting for a smokey eye and a peach lip.
Arriving at the VIP event, the star covered up in a stylish leather jacket but soon took it off to show off her eye-catching frock once inside.
The private view event, which is sponsored by Bulgari, is the first major exhibition to explore Italy's contribution to modern fashion from the end of the Second World War to the present day.
The exhibition covers post-war designers like Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana, and will open from 5 April to 27 July.
According to the V&A wesbite, it will "be a comprehensive look at Italian Fashion from the end of the Second World War to the present day. The story will be explored through the key individuals and organisations that have contributed to Italy's reputation for quality and style".
