EastEnders spoiler! Jane Beale is at the centre of more drama as she returns to Walford
EASTENDERS star Laurie Brett is set to make her return to the set of Albert Square later this month, where her character Jane Beale will find herself at the centre of yet more drama.
The actress, who will head back to the square to spend some quality time with her family, will end up in a situation where she contemplates stacking around after finding out Denise has kissed someone else and falling out with Ian.
Picking up on the tension between her ex-husband Ian Beale and his new fiancé Denise, played by Diane Parish, Jane will become stuck int he middle after Denise decides to tell all about kissing someone else.
In scenes to be aired at the end of February, Denise opens up to Jane in secret leaving her in a difficult situation.
But that's not the only worry Jane will have. In other scenes, the former cafe worker clashes with Ian over his teaching method when she notices he's putting a lot of pressure on Bobby.
As the tension mounts Jane she finds a willing confidante in Masood Ahmed, played by Nitin Ganatra, at the pub where she starts to wonder whether leaving Walford again would be the wrong move.
Jane’s reappearance follows a surprise one-off return for the character in January.
Speaking then, the 44-year-old said: “My phone went into meltdown. I had texts, tweets and calls from friends saying that they thought I’d actually broken Twitter. It was phenomenal and just shows what a surprise the simple stuff makes when you don’t have spoilers. I think we need more of that.”
Meanwhile, Lacey Turner is set to make her return later this year as the popular Stacey Branning and has admitted that she can't wait.
"I am so excited about returning and seeing what the future holds for her. It’s been a while since I set foot in Albert Square and I am looking forward to coming home," she revealed.
“I may have left EastEnders over three years ago, but the show has always been in my heart, as has Stacey, and she has never really left my side."
