Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr play happy families following split announcement
THEY MIGHT have announced the end of their three-year marriage earlier this week, but it looks as though Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are still very much a family unit.
The couple - who revealed in a statement on Tuesday that they have been separated for the past few months - put family first when they headed for a stroll in New York's Central Park with their son, Flynn, on Saturday.
Putting the demise of their relationship behind them, the pair - who were both without their wedding rings - joined forces for their family day out, proving that they are still very much in each other's lives and on good terms.
Ignoring the press surrounding their shock split, both brandished big smiles as they hit the streets with their two-year-old son, who looked adorable in a blue puff jacket and stylish skinny jeans.
Victoria's Secret model Miranda looked her usual chic self in a pair of dark skinny jeans and an oversized, tailored coat.
She finished off her look with a pair of oversized sunglasses and a sweep of bright red lipstick.
Orlando kept his look casual in a pair of jeans and trainers, which he topped off with a jumper and jersey blazer.
The outing was a dignified front for the famous couple, who have kept things amicable, with Orlando revealing that the pair ail always remain close.
Talking to a TMZ journalist, the star said: "We're not friends, we're family."
Adding: "Life is a mystery, it doesn't always work out the way you want it."
The couple announced their split on Friday in a statement insisting that they still love and respect one another.
It read: "Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months.
“After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”
