Strictly star Rachel Riley is given acting coach to help her 'come back fighting'
RACHEL RILEY has enlisted the help of an acting coach to help her "come back fighting" in this week's Strictly.
After admitting that she really wants to get her first score of eight from the judges, dance partner Pasha Kovalev decided to hire an acting coach to improve the Countdown star's facial expressions during her live performance on saturday night.
"Judges are telling us the footwork is great but we're lacking a little bit of attitude," said Pasha, who will be performing to Nelly Furtado hit Maneater alongside Rachel.
"Paso Doble is a strong dance, we need a lot of energy. For this dance I need Rachel to be fierce, powerful - all those things in the expression of the face."
During the session, the star revealed that she hasn't always been so quiet.
"My nickname at uni was 'angry chav,'" she said.
"During the dance I didn't realise it was so angry. I have to be really fierce - I will practise my angry face."
She also admitted it was tough finding herself in the bottom two after last week's viewers' vote.
"Being in the dance-off was a confidence shake, but with Maneater I will come back fighting. I am putting everything into this competition," she said.
"I hope I have done enough to not be in the bottom two again. The judges talked about my strength and control being lacking so it's more important than ever that I bring it all on Saturday night.
"I want to get my first eight of the series."
