What a sweet treat! Melanie Sykes glams up for new baking campaign
SHE may have an incredible figure, but it seems that even Melanie Sykes has a sweet tooth.
In her latest role as the spokesperson for a new range of ‘Talking Packs’ of sugar from Tate & Lyle, the 43-year-old can be seen surrounded by an array of delicious looking cakes as she lounges around in a luxurious living room.
Clutching a chocolate cupcake, the mother-of-two wears an all over sequin gown in one shot whilst laying on an ornate sofa with her slender pins on show.
Another image shows Melanie holding a cake stand as she poses on the stairs wearing a very elegant and pale floor-length gown.
Speaking of her excitement at being involved in the Tate & Lyle campaign, Melanie said: "Becoming the voice of Tate & Lyle Sugars has truly opened my eyes to what an incredible world baking is. Muscovado, and other golden and brown cane sugars, really can add exciting flavours and so much more than sweetness to baked treats.
"I'm hoping that seeing my videos on Talking Packs of Tate & Lyle Sugars will give bakers and shoppers like me the confidence to pick up more than just a bag of their regular white sugar, and inspire them to be a little more creative in the kitchen," she added.
The campaign intends to to educate the public on cane sugar, after research showed that nearly half (46%) of people in the UK don't know what Muscovado is.
Almost one in ten (8%) Brits believing that Muscovado is actually an alcoholic beverage, but thanks to the videos of Melanie, the nation will now be educated on the vast range of golden and brown cane sugars available.
