Queen's Roger Taylor hints at actor for Freddie Mercury biopic
QUEEN musician Roger Taylor rocked up to the world premiere of West End musical The Commitments on Tuesday night.
He told Day & Night that all is not doomed on the band’s Freddie Mercury biopic after it was announced that Sacha Baron Cohen won’t be taking the role of Freddie and rubbished rumours that Daniel Radcliffe is in the running: “He won’t be Freddie but we’ve found a good actor. Nothing’s set in stone yet.”
Of the rumours that American singer and songwriter Adam Lambert is tipped to play Freddie, Roger said: “Brian [MAY] and I love him to bits. He has charisma and a range like I’ve never heard. It’s extraordinary.”
