Francis Ford Coppola to receive world's biggest art prize
Veteran moviemaker FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA and opera singer PLACIDO DOMINGO are to receive a £95,000 award as part of the world's biggest art prize.
The Godfather director and The Three Tenors star Domingo are among five creative talents who will be honoured by the Japan Art Association as part of this year's (13) Praemium Imperiale awards.
The other three winners are sculptor Antony Gormley, painter Michelangelo Pistoletto, and architect Sir David Chipperfield. Each will receive the prize money at a ceremony in Japan in October (13) for making a strong international impact in their chosen field.
