Lynda Bellingham admits she will write a 'very honest book' about her cancer battle
LYNDA Bellingham plans to write a tell-all book about her experience with cancer, but only when the time is right.
The 65-year-old 'Loose Women' star was diagnosed with the disease just over a month ago, but was told by her doctor that she was "not going to die," and is currently undergoing treatment.
Writing in her fortnightly column in Yours magazine, Lyda said: "One day I’ll write a very honest book all about my cancer and hopefully help people going through it at that time. But only when the time is right.
"I don’t think you can write about it when you’re in the eye of the storm and going through it."
Instead, the mother-of-two is concentrating on her debut novel, 'Tell Me Tomorrow' which is out now, and is hoping her cancer diagnosis won't affect what people think of the book.
"This was written pre-cancer and has nothing to do with cancer," she explained. "Of all the things you don’t want for the debut of your first novel is for it to be upstaged by something like this. That’s upset me a lot."
