Roxanne Pallett is rushed to hospital with crippling stomach pains
Former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett has been rush to hospital with a severe kidney infection, after suffering from crippling stomach pains on Monday.
The actress, 30, endured horrific pains as she travelled to Cambridge, where she is currently starring in a theatre production of The Rocky Horror Show and was forced to miss the play.
"She was on her way to the theatre," a source told The Sun.
"It's a severe kidney infection. She's very clean-living. She doesn't drink or smoke and looks after herself, although she is a workaholic."
Roxanne - who played Jo Sugden in the soap Emmerdale for three years - is now having tests done at the Princess Royal Hospital in Bromley, Kent.
"When you're on television, or film, or on stage, you can't hide - you have to be in the costume of that character and most of the time it's sexy or revealing"
The star, who is dating co-star Harry Neale, has recently undertaken a healthy eating regime to get in shape for her new theatre role, which includes getting into a range of skimpy outfits.
"When you're on television, or film, or on stage, you can't hide - you have to be in the costume of that character and most of the time it's sexy or revealing.
"You have to be confident. And i feel better…I've been saying to everybody it's not how I look, it's how I feel that makes a difference."
