Sophie's in running for big race comeback
BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth is getting ready for next month’s London Marathon by running to work.
The mother-of-three was spotted this week powering her way through the capital’s busy streets in black leggings and carrying a rucksack.
Sophie, 44, is running to raise funds for Charles’s charity The Prince’s Trust.
She took to Twitter yesterday to post a picture of a staircase at the BBC’s new HQ in London’s West End which appeared to wind up over four floors.
She wrote: “The stairs to make-up at work. I’m going to start counting them as hill training sessions.”
Sophie is hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2011 Marathon when she collapsed with heat exhaustion two miles short of the finish and was unconscious for 20 minutes.
