Emeli Sande leads the winners at tonight's Brit Awards
SONGWRITER for the stars and a successful singer, Emeli Sande won double at the Brit Awards tonight.
The 25-year-old won British Album and British Female. She has previously written songs for Cheryl Cole, Tinie Tempah and Alesha Dixon before she released her own album, Our Version Of Events, in 2012. She also performed on stage to close the 2013 awards ceremony.
Last year's big winner was Adele, who this year won British Single for Bond theme song Skyfall.
ENTERING the Brit Awards, Mitch Winehouse payed a tribute to his late daughter, Back to Black singer Amy Winehouse, who was nominated for Best Single. In a moving moment in front of papparazzi on the red carpet, Mitch took off his suit jacket and revealed a waistcoat emblazoned with a portrait of Amy.
