IS IT THE END FOR CHERYL COLE AND HER SOARING X FACTOR CAREER
The news will come as a huge blow for Cheryl who was said to have secured a £1.2million-a-year contract to appear on the US edition.
Cheryl has already sat in on auditions in Los Angeles and Chicago telling the audience: "You must have to bear with me on the accent."
X Factor producers may now ask Cheryl to return to her former role as judge on X Factor UK.
But Designer Julien Macdonald said Cole told him a few days ago she was “having the time of her life” in the United States.
Speaking on the ITV1 show Lorraine, he said he thought the announcement was a publicity stunt.
He said: “Well, I was speaking to Cheryl a few days ago, and when I spoke to her from America she was really happy, she was having the time of her life. So I think it’s a bit of a media blah to get press for the X Factor.”
