TV star 'ran for life' as he tearfully recalls horror of Bondi Beach shooting
A Love Island star was caught up in a shooting in Australia on the weekend, which saw 15 people dead.

Love Island Australia star Josh Moss has emotionally recalled "running for his life" as he escaped the shooters at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday. The 32-year-old fought back tears as he gave his account of the horrific day, which saw 15 people killed and many others injured.
Taking to Instagram the reality TV star, who came third on the Aussie version of the ITV dating show, assured his followers that he was safe. He went on to describe the "absolute fear" in people's eyes as they desperately tried to flee from the shooters. He explained: "I was at Bondi yesterday when the attacks happened. Luckily, I was able to run away to safety. I am still speechless at what I saw.” He added: “I am safe, though heartbroken at what has happened in my beautiful home. Sending my thoughts and prayers to everyone who has been affected by this. My heart is with you all.”

Josh added another post, where he recorded a video of him detailing what happened.
He tearfully spoke into the camera, battling with his emotions, as he said: “I was down at Bondi yesterday and saw some pretty horrific things. Parents grabbing their kids, grandparents sprinting, brothers and sisters grabbing each other with a look of absolute fear in their eyes, terrified.
“I’m not sure why I’m even making this video. Maybe to raise awareness and come together, but I do feel pretty weird today that I was able to run away to safety and other people weren’t.
“I don’t know how to feel. I’m a bit numb as to why I was able to get away. I think it’s important that we come together. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and put your arm around someone.

“I can’t even imagine the people out there who have someone close to them who has been affected by this, who have suffered injury or even worse. My heart goes out to the Jewish community or any other families that were affected by this."
Josh broke off before adding: “I’m a bit speechless by the whole thing. Tell someone you love them and give them a big hug. We need to stick together.”
At least 200 people had gathered at Bondi Beach on Sunday night for a festival celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Witnesses say that two men stepped out of a vehicle on Campbell Parade, near the Bondi Pavilion, and opened fire about 6.45pm.
The shooters were later revealed to be a 50-year-old dad – who was shot dead by the police – and his 24-year-old son, who was left in a critical condition.
