The X Factor 2010: Dannii Minogue stands by Cheryl Cole in sing-off row
DANNII Minogue is standing by fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, who refused to vote off one of her own acts on Sunday night.
The Australian said she would have done the same if she had been forced to choose between any of her acts in a sing-off.
Dannii, 39, said the only judge tough enough to vote off one of their own acts was Simon Cowell.

Speaking in the X Factor magazine, Dannii said: “I would do the same as Cheryl if it was two of my acts. There’s no way I could send one home. I think you have to put yourself in her shoes. I said to Simon backstage ‘You could do it, but none of us could do it’.”
More than 1,000 irate viewers complained about Cheryl, 27, to ITV and TV watchdog Ofcom.
Cheryl’s action resulted in Katie Waissel, 24, being saved by the other judges – despite fluffing the lines to her song – at the expense of 28-year-old Treyc Cohen.
ITV is standing by Cheryl, insisting she acted within the rules of the show.
