Strictly Come Dancing: Camilla is rooting for Ann Widdecombe
STRICTLY favourite Ann Widdecombe has won royal approval for her role as the show’s “no-hoper” underdog.
Camilla has revealed that she and Prince Charles are rooting for the 63-year-old Daily Express columnist and former MP.
The Duchess confided the couple’s preference to the BBC1 dance show’s judge Craig Revel Horwood when they met at a charity event on Wednesday.
A source said: “The Duchess was gushing about the show, which she says is her favourite Saturday night viewing. She wanted to know all the gossip.”
Tonight’s show sees the return of contestant Tina O’Brien who was off last week after catching chicken pox from her daughter.
Tina said: “I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve had a week off so it’s really good to be back.”
