Ruth Langsford has been enjoying the great outdoors this weekend and has declared who she "loves" on a rainy day in the park.
In the wake of her startling divorce revelation, Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has been finding solace in nature over the weekend, embracing her transformed life.
During an escapade on Saturday, the beloved ITV star was spotted all bundled up, smiling through raindrops as she took a revitalising walk in the park with her "true love".
Ruth confirmed she was out strolling with her cherished pooch, Maggie, a companion she's desperately fighting to keep custody of amid her split from Eamonn Holmes, aged 64.
The television presenter shared an intimate glimpse of their wet walk on her Instagram Stories, captioned: "Walking in the rain with the one I love!"
The dynamic duo continued their outdoor adventures into Sunday, with Ruth uploading heartwarming snippets of a lively Maggie trotting across the park while leashed.
Accompanying the footage, Ruth affectionately noted: "She's sprightly today!"
It seems Ruth was keen on twinning with her dog for that added charm.
She addressed her followers' curiosity about her stylish outerwear in another post, correcting a previous misstep: "Lots of you asking about my coat... I put the wrong tag yesterday.
"It's from @wearedrybones. Super warm, super cool and waterproof! Maggie's got one too!"
In May, Ruth and Eamonn stunned their fans by announcing their decision to divorce after 14 years of marriage. A statement from their representative confirmed the split, saying: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
The couple is reportedly locked in a heated dispute over custody of their cherished dog, Maggie. According to a source, both Ruth and Eamonn are eager to provide a stable home for Maggie, who is deeply loved by both.
The source revealed: "Maggie is like a daughter to them. They dote on her. But she's getting on and they know she needs stability."
The decision on who will care for Maggie is said to be a difficult one, with Eamonn particularly attached to the dog after she provided comfort during his health struggles.
However, if Ruth is better able to provide regular walks and care, she may be granted custody.
The couple has vowed to resolve the issue amicably, without involving lawyers, unlike Ant McPartlin and ex wife Lisa's highly publicized dispute.
Ruth and Eamonn have a 22-year-old son, Jack, but Eamonn has jokingly suggested that Ruth's affection for Maggie surpasses her love for him, saying: "I genuinely have never experienced affection like it."
