Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl admits to fathering child outside marriage
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has announced he recently became a dad to a baby girl who was born outside of his marriage. He admitted he cheated on his wife of 20 years.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has made a shocking personal revelation, admitting to infidelity and the birth of a secret child.
The rock legend confessed: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
"I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together. Dave."
Dave also switched off the comments on his Instagram post. However, fans have been reacting to the news on X, formally known as Twitter.
One shocked fan said: "Well, I’ll be damned Dave Grohl. Wasn’t expecting that one today."
A second person also commented: "dave grohl cheating and having a baby with another woman wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card."
A third fan also said: "What a shame as a fellow musician and multi-instrumentalist, I looked up to him. Still respect his work, but he lost my respect as a man for that. Thought Dave was better than that."
Dave and his wife Jordyn Blum tied the knot in 2003 and they share three daughters - Violet, Harper and Ophelia. She has previously worked as a TV producer and a model.
He divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997. Blum and Grohl were recently seen attending Wimbledon together just a few months ago.
Dave previously admitted that his children have had a huge influence on him and his songwriting.
He told TIME magazine in 2012: "It's changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes."
