Cat Deeley is making a career move as she teams up with former Spice Girl Mel B and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The daytime TV presenter, 47, will be taking on the role of a TV judge in new ITV1 show M&S: Dress the Nation.

According to the Daily Mail, she will be joined by podcaster Vogue Williams, former Lioness Alex Scott, ex footballer Ian Wright and fashion guru Bella Freud on the rotating panel, as the retailer embarks on a nationwide search for its next top designer. The upcoming fashion show will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Vernon Kay.

Cat will have a key role to play as the contestants on the show will have her and the other judges deciding their fate. Hosts AJ and Vernon will be setting 10 candidates some challenges over the course of six episodes.

The fashion hopefuls will be judged on their commerciality, business acumen and design flair. The series’ successful candidate will secure a life-changing job as a junior designer at M&S.

Speaking about their presenting roles, AJ said: "I’m so excited to be hosting M&S: Dress The Nation on ITV alongside my mate Vernon. To host a primetime show that celebrates all things fashion is incredible and I can’t wait to help ITV and M&S unearth some brilliant new design talent.

"Accessibility to the creative industries for people across the UK is so important to me and shows like this provide an opportunity that really could change someone's life forever."

While Vernon added: "I’m a strong believer in giving talent the opportunity to be seen and get a chance to make it.

This is a great way for budding designers, especially those who don’t necessarily have any formal training or experience, to win a life-changing job at one of Britain’s most loved retailers.

"This is gonna be huge for all those who take part. And I’m so looking forward to working alongside AJ again."

The move for Cat comes as she replaced Holly Willoughby as host on This Morning earlier this year.

In March, Cat took over the show's helm with co-star Ben Shephard, while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary continue to front their slot on a Friday.

M&S: Dress The Nation will air on 17 September at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
