Strictly Nikita Kuzmin love life - strict warning girlfriend gave and 'co-star romance'

Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin shared the stern warning his girlfriend Lauren Jaine gave him before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The 26 year old dancer, who has been dating model Lauren since summer 2023, recently revealed her parting words to him before he stepped into the famous house: "She just said behave! Yeah, she just said the same thing," according to OK!

Nikita also admitted that he missed model Lauren, his family, cats and friends while in the house.

When asked if he thought of entertaining any romantic interests on th show, he firmly told the publication: "Nah, no, no, no. People want romances and drama all the time. But we are not doing any of that.

"I have a beautiful relationship and there is no reason for me to be interested or anything else in anyone."

Nikita and Lauren started their relationship in 2023 and decided to make it official in October. Lauren had been steadfastly supporting him through his CBB journey, even handling his social media and joining Late and Live.

This comes after former Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu was accused of trying to shamelessly flirt with the Strictly dancer by following him around and showering him with compliments.

These scenes were replayed on Late and Live, leading Nikita's Strictly 2023 celebrity partner Layton Williams to comment that it looked 'awkward'.

Describing a cringeworthy moment, he explained to host Will Best: "That was really awkward to see. By the way just because someone's not got a partner, it doesn't mean that they're necessarily interested in you anyway."

Expanding further, Layron remarked: "I don't really like that kind of angle. No shade... full shade. But then to go into the bedroom while he's changing, I'm just like, 'Girl, give the boy some privacy'... and to be giving him compliments, I'm like 'read the room'. And Nikita was just like, 'Thank you so much, peace.'".

He continued to praise the pro-dancer for his composure during the uncomfortable encounter with Ekin-Su,adding: "That's my Nikita."

Nikita recently shared his health struggles on ITV's Lorraine where he recounted the unwavering support of his family. During the chat, he disclosed that he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at only 13 years old and once feared it might prematurely halt his dancing career.

Probing deeper into the realities of managing his condition, the ITV host Lorraine Kelly asked: "How does it all work for you with diabetes?

"I know you lived with it since you were a kid and that it's become part of your life. It must be quite hard sometimes?" Nikita shared his experiences candidly: "Well it's not easy, obviously it's a condition which you carry with you every single day."

Asked about his strong family ties. Nikita waved his hand in front of his face, fighting tears, and shared: "Just talking about it is making me emotional," as he thanked his family for their encouragement.

Visibly moved during the chat, Nikita declared: "The person I am today, I owe everything to them, I am getting emotional just talking about it.

"They have been there for me since I was a kid, you know I travelled all over the world and you know it was because of my parents and my nan obviously."

He detailed how having a family familiar with diabetes proved beneficial as they supported and motivated each other throughout the tougher days.

Elsewhere in the chat, Lorraine hinted for Nikita to speak about the drama that had unfolded on Strictly at the moment with Giovanni Pernice and Amanda Abbington at the centre of the scandal.

The actress claimed that the Italian dancer had been "abusive, cruel and mean," as she accused him of bullying, claims that the pro had always profusely denied. Wanting to know what life was like as part of the show as they scoot around such serious accusations, Lorraine probed Nikita.

However, he had nothing but praise, explaining he'd alway been fortunate on the programme while describing Strictly as a "warm blanket" that he couldn't wait to get back to.
