Escape to the Country presenter Nicki Chapman has delighted her fans as she shared a "clever" hack behind her new look. The 57-year-old BBC TV host shared an update to her Instagram account showcasing her new hairdo with her 141,000 followers.
In a video, speaking into the camera, Nicki explained: "I had my fringe cut last week. Yes. Full transparency, it was up here". She gestured to the top of her head with her hand as she continued: "So, we've out some comb line extensions in the fridge... fridge? Fringe?"
The presenter added: "You can hardly see the join. How clever is that?" She captioned the clip: "Summer locks. Plus ‘micro fringe’ SOS rescue. Phew!!
"Needed a trim but it ended up very very pretty short… one of the escape team asked if I was auditioning for Slade … !! (Look it up)
"So Sonia at Richard Ward worked her magic as ever giving me Rapunzel locks as well as returning my fringe back to normal length/duties. Clever eh. Who knew."
She asked her followers for their opinions as she added: "I’m loving the long locks for summer. What do you think?"
One Instagram user responded: "Usually, I'm not a fan of extensions but I don't think yours could ever be faulted. Always look stunning!" Another added: "Love the extra length on you".
A third wrote: "Fabulous - you look stunning and I’ve never seen a more beautiful fridge!!" Someone else penned: "A fringe extension - who knew! Looks absolutely great on you as does the new length - 10/10 on the hair swishometer."
Another social media user said: "Amazing - thanks for sharing. Everyday is a school day." And a sixth added: "Gorgeous! Awesome job on the fringe!"

The new look comes as Nicki previously revealed that she "lives in fear" of her health deteriorating. During an interview last year with The Mirror, Nicki opened up about her health scare.
The star had undergone surgery in 2019 to remove a brain tumour the 'size of a golf ball'. She was filming for a TV show when her doctor called with the fantastic news that her tumour had disappeared and she was given the all clear.
Nicki shared: "I was filming Escape To The Country and standing in a field of pigs when my consultant phoned me. He told me my brain tumour had gone. I asked him, 'Is that usual? '
"And he said, 'Yes, but it's quite rare.' I immediately phoned my husband Dave and we were both in tears. It was such a huge relief to us both."
