Taylor Swift's Eras tour has sparked a ticket frenzy among fans meaning that some people are falling foul of scammers.
Afton and Gillian McKeith scammed out of Taylor Swift tickets
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here star Gillian McKeith has revealed she was the victim of a scam involving tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras tour at Wembley Stadium. The 64-year-old and her 24-year-old daughter Afton posted a joint message on Instagram to their followers explaining they had been conned.
Sitting in a taxi, they recorded a short clip laying out just how they were ripped off. "I just want to say we have a problem - we got scammed," Gillian said earnestly looking at the camera.
"We had thought that we bought Taylor Swift tickets and it turned out the person was lying about having the tickets and just took our money. And there's been one excuse after another and they get more fantastic as each day goes on the excuses."
"We are devastated as we wanted to go to Taylor Swift's concert on the 22nd of June," Afton interjected. "We thought we had tickets, turns out it was all a façade and a lie just to take our money. Someone we actually knew."
"Total scam. Please watch out," Gillian warned her followers. A visibly upset Afton continued: "Now it's too late to go to her concert, we can't get a ticket now. It's sold out."
"We've lost all our money and we need to get it back," Gillian said although she didn't specify the amount.
"We need to get that money back and we would like to be able to go to Taylor Swift's concert please," Afton added.
The pair were supposed to attend the gig to celebrate the birthday of Gillian's other daughter Skylar, 29, who is currently pregnant with her second child.
The pair didn't specify what tickets they thought they had purchased but the initial sale had prices listed from £49 up to £170 excluding fees.
However, VIP packages cost considerably more ranging from £222.60 up to £662.40 depending on which package was opted for.

Although visibly upset in the clip, their words seemed to fall on deaf ears as many people in the comments seemed to think they were angling for a freebie - something Afton vehemently denied.
