Alison Hammond gives health update on son after recent hospital stint
Alison Hammond fans were left concerned after her 19-year-old son was taken to hospital with tonsillectomy and had his tonsils taken out.
Alison Hammond's son 'feeling fine' after tonsillectomy
Alison Hammond has given a health update on her son after he was taken to hospital last month. The 19-year-old had his tonsils taken out but it seems that he had made a speedy recovery since his surgery.
The ITV presenter took to Instagram to answer questions from her 1.5 million fans. One person asked her: "How is Aiden doing after his tonsillectomy?"
Alison replied with a heart-warming photo of her son and said: "He is so much better thanks." Aiden had previously said to Alison that he was "doing fine" whilst he was recovering in a hospital bed.
Uploading the videos to Instagram, Alison's teenage son penned: "Aidan 1 - tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite emoji]," to which Alison replied in the comments: "My poor baby."
Fellow ITV presenter, Alex Beresford wrote: "Yup 2 weeks of pain and a show with at least 10 seasons. Not sure Poldark is @aidanhammond555 thing but it got me through." (sic)

Another fan commented: "Get well soon, from past experience with my son and myself years ago, days 3 to 10 are definitely the worst, get jelly and ice cream in as well as crispy crunchy things (it helps heal quicker) lots of pain meds too."
A third person typed: "This is hilarious! Bless Aidan - no hard, cold white toast anymore??" A fourth fan also penned: "bless him. I had mine out in 2021 at age 37, the worst pain of my life and I've had 2 kids and covered in tattoos." (sic)
The Birmingham presenter shares her son with her ex-husband, Noureddine Boufaied. The pair divorced in 2014. In 2022, Alison told This Morning that she would consider having a second child after speaking to a viewer who became pregnant at aged 50.

Shelly, who had called into the programme in 2022, told viewers: "I thought I was going through menopause and I found out I was pregnant. I already had a 20 year old and it changed my life so so much."
Alison then replied: "Imagine going to the menopause and finding out you've had a baby? I'm 47 I thought it was the end of my time. I could have another baby."
