Helen Skelton starts new chapter as she ends moving day with emotional message
Helen Skelton has left her parents' home and has moved into a new house with her kids
Helen Skelton has given fans a first look inside her new home after spending the day moving house as she paid an emotional tribute to her dad.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star and Springtime on the Farm presenter, aged 40, recently revealed she has left her marital home following her split from England and Leeds Rhino rugby star Richie Myler and the finalisation of their divorce.
The £1.1M property was set in an exclusive gated community. Instead, Helen had moved back in with her parents in Cumbria while she got back on her feet.
But today Helen, who has three kids has Ernie, eight, Louis, five and 16-month-old Elsie with her ex-husband, revealed how granddad had been helping her move into her new home.
She posted an emotional tribute to him as she applauded his attentiveness as a granddad.
Helen said: “The kind of granddad who spends days moving the entire contents of your life and still makes time for motorbikes and football,” followed by a red heart emoji.
In her next story she added, talking about how her son was fighting to keep both pairs of his boxing gloves from the packing: “Tell me you’re moving… without telling me you’re moving…. ‘Me: which pair are going to charity shop…” him: neither we NEED them both.”
Helen had been living back in her native Cumbria with her kids after splitting from Richie, with her parents, but has now struck out on her own again and is ready for a new chapter in her life.
Helen also this week announced a new TV show with fellow former Strictly Come Dancing star and best friend Dan Walker.
The pair had enjoyed a series walking between Yorkshire and Cumbria for Channel 5 last year and now they've been given a fresh stab at another travel series.
