Despite being one of the founding members of America's most popular bands, Scott Raynor left music behind for a new career in law enforcement.

Scott Raynor shot to stardom alongside Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge as the founding members of Blink 182 but has since embarked on a new career as a proud cop.

During his tenure in the legendary rock back, the trio toured America, and Australia as they made their first Billboard entry before the now 46-year-old departed the group in 1998.

Scott was the band’s drummer before being famously replaced by Kourtney Kardashian’s husband Travis Barker.

He was kicked out of the band mid-tour following tensions with the intense schedule and his dependency on alcohol.

After his addiction began to impact the band's performances, Mark and Tom asked him to either stop drinking or go to rehab but despite his efforts Scott was removed.

Although he continued to play in other bands, Scott had a career overhaul and is now a proud member of the US police force.

After six months of training, the ex-musician was sworn in over a year ago on January 2023 and now works for the San Diego police department.

Following his departure from the group, Scott has only given one interview about his experience.

In 2004, he told AbsolutePunk: “It’s hard to describe six years of being in Blink and why it ended for me in a summed up kind of way.

“The best way for me to put it is that everything got kinda haywire in my personal life, and in the band, and with Mark and Tom.

“They wanted different things than me and at the same time our friendship was put to the test.”

Scott added he was no longer friends with his former bandmates, and added: “We went down our different paths which to me was the right one.

"They are doing things that they wanted to, that I wouldn’t have done, and vice versa."
