Die Hard 2 actor Tom Bower dies aged 86 from ‘unknown cause’ at home in Los Angeles
Hollywood star Tom Bower, who starring in big hits such as Die Hard 2, has sadly died at the age of 86.

Tom Bower has died aged 86, it has been announced.
The Hollywood actor, who worked alongside the likes of Bruce Willis died last week at his home in Los Angeles, California.
Tom's cause of death is unknown at this time, but his brother Robert Bower has confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.
He portrayed characters such as Dr. Curtis Willard in The Waltons, as well as the janitor, Marvin, who lives in the basement at Washington Dulles International Airport, in Die Hard 2.
In the second Die Hard movie, Tom's character, Marvin, helped John McClane, played by Bruce, stop the terrorists.
Most recently, Tom played Bob Odenkirk's dad on the AMC series, Lucky Hank.
Some of his other roles include The Hills Have Eyes, Shadows, The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, Nixon, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, among others.
After guest-starring as the pilot Rex Barker in The Waltons‘ fourth-season, episode The Wing Walker, in 1975, Tom became a regular cast member the following season when Curt arrives in Walton’s Mountain to replace Dr. Vance (played by Victor Izay).

In the series, he hires Mary Ellen Walton (Judy Norton) to be his nurse, and the two quickly hit it off and get married before eventually welcoming a son together.
However, he was written off from the Earl Hamner Jr.-created CBS series in 1978, when Curt was apparently killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
But, in a 1981 episode, Curt shows up alive in Florida, but the role had been recast, with Scott Hylands portraying him instead.
In a 2022 interview with his co-star Judy, the actor explained what actually happened behind the scenes, saying: "I asked for a very small raise, so they sent me to Pearl Harbor.
“Then, when they decided to bring the character back, washed up on a shore somewhere — which I didn’t think was a great idea anyway — I asked for the same small raise. … They just cast a different actor.”
