EXCLUSIVE: Body language expert Judi James claims the recent Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reunion did nothing to quell fears about an impending divorce.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez publicly reunited for the first time in weeks just as rumours of an impending divorce have reached a fever pitch.

The couple, who tied the knot back in 2022, came together to attend a graduation celebration for Ben’s 19-year-old daughter, Violet. The Good Will Hunting actor shares Violet and two other children with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Though it was a seemingly jovial gathering, Ben and the New York native looked nothing close to happy, instead, both were spotted looking stern and stony-faced.

The duo reportedly left the party together in Ben's car. However, once they arrived at his current rental home — Jennifer was seen driving off in her own car.

For body language expert Judi James, Ben and Jennifer’s joint outing has done little to erase fears that they are heading towards splitsville.

“There is little in this body language to suggest Ben and Jennifer are keen to quash the rumours surrounding their marriage,” James exclusively shared with Daily Express US. “There are no smiles, eye contact or loving glances to show all is well and there is no tactile behaviour in these poses.”

She claimed that Ben’s expression was the most telling, saying: “Ben’s head is raised but his expression suggests deep sadness, with his brows steepled and his brow creased with a wary eye expression as his mouth pulls down at the corners.”

“Jennifer seems to have dressed for a picnic day out but her facial expression looks solemn and she has even dipped her head to hide her face as though suddenly not wanting to pander to any press attention,” James continued. “She even seems to be carrying a bag in her hand nearest to Ben, which would prohibit any hand holding or touch as they walk together.”

Finally, James concluded: “The fact they are turning out together could be reassuring for the fans but their expressions as they do so signal no levels of pleasure or happiness here.”

DON'T MISS:

James’ insights come just after Jennifer announced that she would be cancelling her highly anticipated This Is Me Now… tour — just weeks before she was slated to head out on the road.

In a statement posted to her website, the Jenny from the Block singer, took fans that she was “heartsick and devastated” about the cancellation, adding: “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”

“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again,” she wrote. “I love you all so much. Until next time….”

Jennifer will be using this summer to take a break and “be with her children, family and close friends."

Though she has said the tour cancelled was due to much-needed time off, there is additional speculation that the tour was axed due to low ticket sales.
