Marilyn Monroe memorabilia including iconic polka-dot dress fetches £1m at auction
A haul of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, including some of her most famous costumes, has fetched almost £1million at auction.

The lots included her final script for The Seven Year Itch (1955), complete with her notes, and a polka-dot dress she wore in the movie.
The most expensive item was a black and green lace top and black silk skirt from Bus Stop (1956) that fetched £290,000.
Marilyn's pearl-encrusted gown from The Prince And The Showgirl (1957) sold for £113,000. A silk dress she wore to promote Some Like It Hot (1959) made £86,000.
The vintage memorabilia went under the hammer with Heritage Auctions, of Dallas, Texas.
