Chris Evans, 55, is another year older but he was far from caring as he was totally breath-taken by the "beautiful" gifts his children made him in honour of his 55th birthday yesterday (1 April). Gushing over the thoughtful presents, he became tearful as he showed his co-star Rachel Horne the handmade offerings.
That makes me want to cry
"There will be no requests for refunds as far as I'm concerned," he beamed on Thursday's show.
"I have already been gifted the most wonderful birthday presents, one from each of my eldest boys."
Later on in the program, he turned to Rachel and proudly showed her pictures of what 12-year-old Noah and eight-year-old Eli had made him.
"Have you seen what my boys did for me - see this one here," he choked up as he pointed at his camera.

"Isn't that gorgeous?"
Rachel agreed, cooing: "That's beautiful!"
"It is beautiful," Chris snivelled before revealing to listeners why he was so emotional.
He continued: "This is from Eli. It's an old plank - it's beach wood - [it says], 'Don't mind what happens, Dad,' and he knows that's one of my favourite phrases.
"And that makes me want to cry!"
He paused before adding: "But I won't!" as Rachel breathed a sigh of relief.
Chris moved on to Noah's present, gushing: "This one is driftwood from Noah and [it says] 'Chop wood, carry water'.
"You know what Noah, you know I love that - Eli they're my two favourite phrases.

"And those bits of wood were waiting for me in the kitchen today along with my athletic creams and herbal tea."
Rachel smiled as she probed: "Did you have moment?"
"Of course I did," the radio DJ exclaimed, "I had a massive moment!"
"My wife wondered downstairs and she said, 'I had to be the first person to wish you happy birthday!' and there were balloons everywhere, even in the car!"
His co-star laughed as she pondered the surprise: "Was that helpful or not helpful?" she queried as Chris revealed he didn't know either.
"Well, you don't know whether to go out with the balloons in the car!" he giggled.
The Chris Evans Breakfast show airs weekdays at 6:30am on Virgin Radio.
