Carol Vorderman addresses why she was ‘removed’ by Justin Bieber’s guards in awkward move
CAROL VORDERMAN has spoken out about an awkward time she was "removed" from Justin Bieber's area by his bodyguards on The Alan Carr Show back in 2012.
Justin Bieber: Carol Vorderman discusses meeting the pop star
After playing a song from Justin Bieber’s ex girlfriend Selena Gomez on her BBC Radio Wales show today, Carol Vorderman, 59, told her co-star Owain Wyn Evans and listeners about her awkward moment with the popstar when they met in 2012.
This is a story I know I shouldn’t tell
The Countdown legend said she and her fellow guests on The Alan Carr show, which included The Saturdays and David Williams, were told not to speak to Justin as they recorded for the New Year’s Eve Specstacular special.
But after being dared to go over to the singer by David, she said she was asked to leave by his guards.
“This is a story I know I shouldn’t tell,” she began.
Recalling the moment, Carol went on to tell listeners she and David were bored during the “five to seven hours” of filming and made a mischievous plan to speak to Justin.

She said: “David, because he is a devil, said to me, ‘Go on Vorders go and say something to him’ because he knows I’m a devil.
“I’m like pushing through going, ‘Oh hello Justin’ and he’s surrounded by all these people.
“He’s tiny, so you can hardly see him over these bodyguards!
“I was pushing my way through, and I don’t care if I meet Justin Bieber or not, but David is like, ‘Go on go on’.
She then surprised her co-star as she admitted: “In the end, I think he asked them to remove me.”
Her co-star replied: “That is a great story, ‘Can you remove Carol Vorderman?’”
Alan Carr previously spoke out about the alleged moment in an interview with The Sun.
The Chatty Man host described the hitmaker as “a right little diva".

Back in 2015, Carol told Express.co.uk that Alan’s version of events was a made up story.
She said: “It’s a funny made up story.
“Alan is one of my big buddies and he’s going to buy our next three lunches for that one. Laughing lots though."
Express.co.uk contacted a representative for Justin at the time.
When reproached today, a rep said the story is "probably a bit of an exaggeration in the telling".
The Carol Vorderman show continues next Saturday at 11.30am on BBC Radio Wales.
