CHRIS EVANS, the Virgin Radio breakfast host, revealed an awkward plane journey he shared with a guest before they both appeared on his morning broadcast.

Chris hilariously shared how he had a “celeb stand off” with cricketer Kevin Pietersen as they ignored each other on the plane to Portugal for his show. Despite the DJ broadcasting from Portugal this week, it hasn’t stopped him talking with top class talent on air. Pietersen had taken some time of to talk with Chris while on holiday with his family.
Chris said: “We were on the same plane coming out."
The sportsman replied: “I didn’t want to annoy you.”
Chris found the whole situation very comical.
He said: “I didn't want to annoy you either. It was a celeb stand off. It was hilarious.

"We both respectively stood off from each other, but I’m a massive fan of you, always have been.”
The pair went on to talk about Kevin's golfing prowess.
The retired batsman revealed to Chris he plays off a six handicap and his best score is an impressive 71.
There was more talk of cricket as their attention went to the Ashes in the UK.
fter three tests in the series between England and Australia, it is all hanging in the balance as both teams have each won a game.
The second test of the series saw both countries drawing.
This comes as Chris recently revealed how he freaks out fans in awkward moments when he is running.
He told listeners how he enjoys running in wet weather and laughs when people see him doing it.
Chris said: “They’re in their cars or whatever and I just laugh.
“I laugh sort of manically and they don’t know to do. I do in on purpose.
“But it really freaks people out, I quite like it.”
