Geri Halliwell husband: Star asks about marriage 'secret' as she spills on beau
GERI HALLIWELL opened up about her husband Christian Horner as the All Together Now star asked about the “secret” to a long and happy marriage in an interview earlier this week.
Geri Horner says husband Christian Horner is a 'solid guy'
Geri Halliwell, 46, gushed about her husband Christian Horner, 45, during an appearance on BBC Radio 2 with Zoe Ball, 48, earlier this week. When the Spice Girl joined the presenter on air, Zoe read out a message from a listener who revealed she had invited Geri to her wedding back in 1999 and received a telegram from the popstar which had made her day. The message said the fan was now celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary. “Wow, that’s amazing!” Geri exclaimed, sounding delighted. “I always want to say, ‘What’s the secret?’” she laughed.
Christian is a good solid guy, a nice guy
“What’s the secret to a good marriage?” Zoe chipped in lightheartedly.
“Yeah, help me!” Geri quipped, before the DJ replied: “You’ve got it right now! You’re really happy, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, he’s lovely,” the singer enthused.
Zoe pointed out that Christian, Team Principal for the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team, was also a “bit of a hero as well, in the sporting world”.
“He’s nice,” Geri praised. “He’s a good solid guy, a nice guy. And he’s funny.”
The Spice Girls star first started dating the Formula 1 ace in 2014.
They tied the knot the following year and share two-year-old son Monty together.
Geri is also mother to 12-year-old daughter Bluebell from her previous relationship with film director Sacha Gervasi, 53.
Christian also has daughter Olivia, with his ex Beverly Allen.
The star’s hit BBC talent show with a twist, All Together Now, returns to screens later tonight.
She can be seen in charge of The 100, which consists of a panel of performers and music experts who stand up and join in if they like the contestants.
The series is hosted by comedian Rob Beckett, 33.
Speaking about the programme’s return, Geri told Zoe: “I’m very excited that the show is back.
“It’s quite flattering because you think, oh, people like it!
“Because the BBC’s quite fussy,” she continued. “So, for a show to come back for a second series says okay, it’s doing alright.
“And also the more you do something, the more confident you get at it and I think I’ve got firmer and Rob’s got funnier. He’s so funny.”
All Together Now returns tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
