Susan Boyle turned heads as she made her return to the red carpet at the SSE Scottish Music Awards. The Britain’s Got Talent runner-up also opened the event and sang for the star-studded crowd, ahead of her Christmas comeback. The 57-year-old looked happier and healthier than ever as she enjoyed the evening with the likes of Mark Knopfler. Wearing her dark tresses down, she stood out from the crowd in pink after earlier being spotted returning home to get ready.
I would like to thank the team that have everything to do with me being here and I would like to thank Simon Cowell
Susan opted for head-to-toe lace in the form of a dark pink gown, which featured a wide neckline and three-quarter length sleeves.
The number featured delicate embellishment on the waist and side, while it was ruched down her left.
She teamed the eye-catching offering with shiny, silver heels and statement earrings, which matched her chunky bracelets.
The hitmaker was seen posing with her statuette after being inducted into the Scottish Music Hall of Fame along with Annie, 63.
Speaking after the announcement, Susan commented: “I would like to thank you all, I'm very humbled and very pleased.
“I would like to congratulate Nordoff Robbins on their anniversary.”
Susan added: “I would like to thank the team that have everything to do with me being here and I would like to thank Simon Cowell… thank you so much I will treasure this!”
She referenced the Britain’s Got Talent judge, 59, who was in attendance for her original audition.
She went viral after singing I Dreamed A Dream on the ITV show back in 2009, before going on to just miss out on winning thanks to dance troupe Diversity.
Snow Patrol, The Script and Kyle Falconer also picked up honours at the 20th annual Awards.
The event is the main fundraiser for the music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins Scotland.

Meanwhile, Annie was unable to attend the event but sent a video message to the audience at the SEC.
She said: "I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving me this very special award.
"I'm very, very sorry that I can't join you tonight, but I'm there with you in spirit. I'm so proud of the work that Nordoff Robbins does and all I can say to you is thank you, thank you, thank you."
Mark, who made a name for himself as Dire Straits' frontman, picked up the "living legend" award: "When I was a little fellow lying in bed not far from here listening to the music of the River Clyde, the noise of the fog horns and the ships, I used to absorb all the sounds of Scotland.”
"A songwriter couldn't ask to be born in a better place."
