LILY ALLEN has been forced to pull out of her performance in Chicago after falling ill and receiving some “truly devastating news” from home. The It’s Not Fair songstress apologised to fans for having to cancel the show in the US.

Lily Allen, a British singer and songwriter, has apologised to fans after cancelling her Wednesday night show in Chicago due to illness.
The 33-year-old pop star was scheduled to perform at The Vic Theatre in Illinois, but organisers told concert-goers the gig had been called off.
A statement released by the venue on Twitter, read: “We're sorry to say that tonight's show has been cancelled. Tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically.
“Due to illness, @lilyallen performance scheduled for tonight, October 31, at The Vic Theatre has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Lily tweeted fans to apologise for the sudden cancellation, writing: “CHICAGO and MINNEAPOLIS, I have no choice but to cancel tonight and tomorrow’s shows.
“My throat and vocal chords are so inflamed and angry…I am so sorry, I was so looking forward to seeing y’all.”(sic)
The award-winning songstress also wrote: “I am really quite sick, and I’ve just had some truly devastating news.”
Pleading with internet bullies to back off, the mother-of-two asked: “Can you trolls just allow me for today? Thanks in advance.”
Later, she told fans she would share further details with them shortly, before apologising again for letting them down.
“I will have more details for you shortly. I am so, so sorry everybody, but I’ve been battling this since the 16th,” She said.
The star also announced she would be rescheduling both of the shows she cancelled in a video shared to Instagram.
“We are working on rescheduling both shows, so I will get back to you with news about those and I’m just really, really sorry.
“But this is unavoidable, I’ve been battling it for two weeks.”
Well wishers were quick to send her messages wishing her a speedy recovering, with many writing below her video on Twitter.
One fan wrote: “Damn, that sucks. Feel better soon!” While another said: “Get well soon, honey.”
A third tweeted: “Bummer, get better,” while a fourth penned: “Get well soon and mute the nasty tweeters.”
Thanking her supporters for their kind messages, Lily shared: “Overwhelmed by all the well wishers and how understanding everyone is being.
“Thank you all so much. I will make it up to you all I promise. I have the best fans. Love lily x”(sic)
The Londoner is currently on tour in the US, she is due to perform in Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland and Seattle, before travelling across Europe.
