Spain is the single most popular holiday destination for British travellers.
It’s cheap, cheerful and perpetually sunny, not to mention a stone’s throw by plane from the UK.
But some of the nation’s most crowded tourist hotspots are promising to ramp up the rules in 2018.
Majorca and Ibiza both plan to launch new campaigns to stamp out unruly behaviour next year.

Balearic tourism chief Biel Barcelo said the campaign would be starting “soon”.
He added: “The tourism sector must also collaborate to improve tourism and to improve our image and the first step to collaborate is to comply with the rules.”
The new mayor of Majorca’s capital Palma, Antoni Noguera, is intent on transforming the island’s party image.
He said: “We will act strongly against negative dynamics for the city.

“We will be strong with those who do not comply with the regulations.
“We have acted with one sole objective, to fight against uncivic behaviour, because here everything is not good.”
The promise of a fresh clampdown on tourists comes after a series of new rules introduced across Spain this year.

Some minor offences involve drinking directly from the shower, using shower gel in public showers or climbing trees.
Barcelona has introduced a ban on new hotels in a bid to curb overwhelming tourist numbers.
Graffiti has been spotted in the mega Spanish city reading “Tourists go home”, as fed up locals protest against holidaymakers.
