Cornwall has been named as the top UK holiday spot
A new study by Travelodge has found that over two-thirds of Britons are set to take a staycation this year.
Over half of us (58 per cent) are planning to holiday by the coast.
And the number one spot named by Brits for a destination this year is Cornwall. It’s the second year running the county has been awarded the top spot.
The report surveyed 3,000 British adults for the past six years and showed that 2016 is set to the biggest for a trip to the seaside.

Coming in at number two is the capital London. The number three spot was taken by Devon.
Similar to Cornwall, Devon also boasts many incredible beach resorts.
Blackpool was awarded fifth place. Last month, Blackpool beach was recognised "among the best in the world".
