Flights cancelled to Middle East as Foreign Office 'advises against travel' - full list

International airlines are suspending flights to the region in a bid to keep passengers and crew safe.

Cancellations and delays are plaguing the Middle East as concerns over wider conflict in the region continue to soar.

International airlines are suspending flights to the region in a bid to keep passengers and crew safe, creating air travel chaos.

The Foreign Office is advising against all travel to Gaza, the West Bank, and the northern regions bordering Lebanon and Syria, and advises against all non-essential travel to the rest of the country.

The Foreign Office warns against all travel to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen whilst there is also advice against all travel to North Sinai, bordering Israel.

Previously, the European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published Conflict Zone Information Bulletins (CZIBs) recommending EU air operators not operate in the airspaces of Iran, Israel, and Lebanon at all flight levels.

Those travelling to the Middle East are also being warned that airline officials may amend or issue new announcements at short notice, and additional airlines may announce similar measures in the coming days.

The alarm comes just days after Iran launched almost 200 missiles towards Israel in response to the ongoing bloodshed in Palestine and killings of senior Hamas, Hezbollah, and Revolutionary Guard figures.

Estimates suggest its attack was 'the largest ballistic missile barrage on a state in history'.

Just last week, a Rome to Dubai flight was diverted by a whopping 3,100 miles away to Athens.

Taking to TikTok @yendor24103 posted a video of the inflight screen which mapped the massive diversion with the caption: "When your flight to Rome is suddenly diverted due to Middle East tensions 1/10/24."
