This UK city has claimed the number one spot for 'culture' and top 30 in Europe
This dynamic and vibrant UK city has been named the best for culture in the country, according to newly-released data.
This city in the UK has claimed the top spot for culture and the 29th spot in Europe.
Global luggage storage provider Stasher analysed data on cultural venues in 131 European cities with a population of over 325,000.
Information was gathered on eight different types of cultural sites, including points of cultural and artistic interest; live performance spaces; film and media sites; literary sites; comedy and entertainment venues; dance studios; parks and recreational spaces; and music and audio retail locations.
Each city was rated based on the number of venues per 100,000 population in each category and scored out of 100.
Manchester ranked as the best UK city for culture and 29th Europe-wide thanks to its large number of live performance spaces, and comedy and entertainment venues.

The northwestern city is famed for its music and sports.
It is home to Manchester City and Manchester United - two of the most popular football clubs in the world.
Manchester is not only the music capital of the UK, it has shaped music worldwide producing world-famous bands such as The Smiths, Oasis and Stone Roses.
Paris took the top spot for culture out of all the cities in Europe, according to the study.

The city was propelled to the top of the study thanks to the highest number of parks and recreational spaces per 100,000 people in Europe.
France's capital has approximately 1,238 spaces of this variety or 57 per 100,000 residents.
It was among the top-performing cities for the number of live performance spaces, film and media sites, and points of cultural and artistic interest.
The city also rated high for dance studios with 97 per 100,000 people.
