A travel expert has shared the best day of the week to fly for the cheapest prices.
Ryanair has warned that flight prices could rise by 10 percent this summer and for many Britons a holiday may seem out of reach.
However, there are a few tips and tricks that can help British tourists get a slightly cheaper price for a flight.
Flying during school term-time will nearly always be cheaper than during the holidays, but if that’s not possible, there are still a couple of hacks British tourists can use.
While flight prices tend to fluctuate by time and day, there are a few times of the week when prices are likely to be lowest.
Paul Stringer, director of Norton Finance, has shared his top tips for British tourists looking to score a deal on a flight.
Travel on a Wednesday
Paul recommends flying on a Wednesday if possible as prices could be at least eight percent lower than average.
Many 9-5 workers like to fly on a Friday to maximise their weekend. If you can travel on Wednesday, you could pick up a cheaper flight.
Flight prices can also fluctuate based on the time of day and flying late in the evening might be cheaper than during the day

Book on a Sunday
According to Paul, booking a flight on Sunday could save travellers up to 13 percent on their holiday.
Friday is generally the most expensive day to book a flight so should be avoided by Britons looking for a deal.
Britons can also set up price alerts on a flight comparison website so they can snap up a cheap price when they see one.
Choose all-inclusive
All-inclusive holidays may make it easier for British tourists to stick to a budget as food and drink is usually included.
Britons should check the terms and conditions on their deal before booking as drinks may not be included.
A holiday package may also include airport transfers which could cut down on expensive car hire or taxi fees.
