The safest country in the world is ‘very beautiful’ with incredible attractions
The safest country in the world is a "beautiful" country in Europe with incredible attractions. The nation topped the list on the Global Peace Index.
Although the majority of holidays are trouble-free, it’s always important to consider the risks before travelling abroad.
While popular holiday hotspots like Spain and France are considered very safe, there’s one European country that regularly tops the list of safest destinations.
Iceland topped the Global Peace Index and was rated the safest holiday destination for tourists. The country was rated as politically stable and has a low crime rate.
While Iceland might not sound like the ideal summer holiday destination, it could be the perfect place to escape southern Europe’s heatwaves.
The country has some of Europe’s most unique landscapes with breathtaking natural beauty to explore.
Reynisfjara Beach was crowned the continent’s best beach in Tripadvisor’s prestigious annual beach ranking. The black sand beach is covered with volcanic ash and is surrounded by sea stacks.
However, tourists should take care when visiting the beach as the beautiful spot can also be very dangerous. Sneaker waves are huge coastal waves that can sweep people into the sea suddenly.
It’s still safe to visit the beach but tourists should read the safety signs carefully and stay far away from the water.
