Originating in Germany, Christmas markets are now taking place all over the world. In the UK, most cities have a Christmas market, and some attract droves of Britons in search of mulled wine and last minute presents.
The most popular Christmas market in the UK was Edinburgh.
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is on until January 4 and includes everything from stalls, rides and even an ice rink.
The Scottish is going Christmas mad with many events popping up everywhere, from a Christmas Tree Maze to Santa Land in West Princes Street Gardens.
On Tripadvisor, Sharon W said: “Really enjoyed this Christmas market. Even though it was busy it didn’t seem it.
