Most popular UK gardens to visit in autumn named - ‘a little piece of heaven’
CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW may be over but Britons' love for gardens can still be satisfied by visiting one of the most popular gardens in the country.

Britons’ love for gardens make them great attractions all over the country. Autumnal colours bring something different to some of the most popular gardens in the UK.
With Chelsea Flower Show sadly over, Britons who want to explore more gardens can head to one of the most popular gardens in the UK.
Crown Pavilions looked at some of the most popular open gardens around the country and came up with a list that did not disappoint.
Coming top of the list was Chartwell.
The most popular garden in the UK overlooks the Weald of Kent.
The house was built by Sir Winston Churchill, and the gardens have beautiful water features.
Also of note is the rose garden, which is a highlight of every visit.
The National Trust property is highly reviewed by visitors.
Vivien Baker wrote: “What an amazing place.”
Caroline B said: “The gardens are amazing. Worth a visit!”
In second place was Nymans in West Sussex.
Unusual plants and woodlands make this spot a true treasure.
It’s also a great place to spot wildlife.
On Tripadvisor, Edward J said: “A fantastic way to spend time in the sunshine.
“The grounds and gardens are so lovely you can lose yourself even when busy.”
Third was Penshurst Place and Gardens.
The House, once the property of King Henry VIII, was left to his son King Edward VI and then passed on to Sir William Sidney.
The Sidney family still owns the property.
Visitors can explore the 11 acres of formal gardens and get lost in nature.
On Tripadvisor, Ros223 said: “A little piece of heaven.
“The gardens were outstanding and full of quirky little surprises.”
Kent did well on the list, with four gardens in the county.
