There are many beautiful road trips to take throughout Europe.
But American travel brand AFAR decided to list only eight Unforgettable European Road Trips.
While the list is not numbered, it is extremely limited.
And the UK appears twice.
Unsurprisingly, Scotland’s NC500 is on the list.
The Scottish route has become one of the most famous travel route in the UK.

The UK’s answer to Route 66 often tops list of most popular trips and is no stranger to winning popularity contests.
Some attractions along the route get special mentions.
Bealach na Bà mountain pass, Sinclairs Bay, Duncansby Head and the village of Ullapool are all singled out as great attractions.
Also lauded as a great place to visit was Inverness, the gateway to the Highlands.
But the NC500 was not the only UK route among heavy-hitters such as the Loire Valley in France and Spain’s Death Coast.
Another UK road trip made the list.
While an extremely popular route for Britons, the second UK mention may not be as world-famous as NC500.
Wales’ Pembrokeshire Coast may be a favourite UK staycation spot, but it is rarely included in Europe or World’s best road trips.
Described as “Cornwall without the crowds”, the Pembrokeshire trip recommended start at Tenby and ends at St Davids.
Attractions mentioned include Stackpole and Barafundle Bay.
The Lily Ponds of Bosherston, Broad Haven South beach, Freshwater West are also singled out as great stops.
St. David’s, as well as “spectacular” beaches Broad Haven and Marloes Sands also deserved a mention.
With a beautiful coastline and plenty of history, Wales deserves a spot on the top eight road trips in Europe.
