According to MMA Fighting, St-Pierre got to meet some WWE representatives during ESPN’s ESPYS award ceremony this past July after he had retired from mixed martial arts.
However, the former two-division UFC Champion is not interested in a full-time move to professional wrestling and confirmed that there are currently no discussions taking place.
The Canadian fighter, though, wouldn’t rule out getting back to Vince McMahon’s promotion and organising a “special appearance”.
St-Pierre told TVA Sports: “I was at an ESPN event in the United States, the awards ceremony, and I got approached by the WWE.
Maybe for a special appearance
“I had just retired, and, it’s a form of competition, but of course, it’s also scripted, so I don’t know if I’d be willing to relive that.
"Perhaps for a special event, so I could taste it.
“But I don’t know if I’d want to sign a contract and do it every week and making it a living.
“Maybe for a special appearance.
“Perhaps we will get back to them on that, I don’t know, but for the moment, there are no discussions at all.
“They wanted to contact my agents, I gave them their number, but I don’t want to switch to wrestling full-time.”
WWE shocked the world of sport when they re-signed former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar in 2012.
The wrestling giants made even bigger waves when they struck a deal with the first and only female UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey last year.
Two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is also a huge fan of wrestling and is set to make his debut with Mexican-based promotion AAA this summer.
Various WWE legends have also enjoyed success in UFC in the past such as Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn.
