Ronda Rousey escapes SERIOUS injury as pics show Becky Lynch WrestleMania move going wrong
WRESTLEMANIA 35 will be remembered for the first all-woman fight headlining the event - but one move could have gone seriously wrong.
WWE star Becky Lynch reflects on WrestleMania win
By far the best move of the night came during Becky Lynch’s three-way showdown with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
But it very nearly caused what could have been a serious injury on Sunday night.
Lynch went into the contest in New Jersey as the defending Smackdown Women’s Champion, while Rousey had her RAW belt on the line.
Flair was hoping to get the better of both champions and claim a stunning victory in the Show of the Immortals.
And indeed it was Flair who teamed up with Lynch for what was certainly the most eye-catching and wincing move of the night.
Flair somehow got Rousey upside-down on the outside of the ropes and pinned the former UFC star there while Lynch drop-kicked through Flair’s legs and into Rousey’s back.
It was a stunning move that wowed the crowd - but almost went badly wrong.
Rather than being propelled forwards, Rousey immediately fell, smashing her back on the edge of the ring and then crumpling in a heap on the floor.
It appears the intention was for Rousey to be pushed clean of the canvas and land flat on her back on the floor.
But as these images show, she almost fell directly on her head.
The move looked painful as Rousey could have done serious harm to herself pivotting on the edge of the canvas.
The WWE's winner-takes-all match was eventually claimed by Lynch as The Man took home both belts with a smart pin of Rousey.
Rousey did not escape the fight unharmed, however, as there are reports she suffered a broken hand in the contest.
And that means she will almost certainly now spend some time away from WWE.
Rousey’s future is far from certain, with claims she may be about to ditch the franchise despite still being under contract.
It is not known how long her broken hand will take to heal.
After the fight Lynch said: "Anything’s possible now, man. Anything.
"It’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling right now, it’s so overwhelming.
"I’ve worked for this my entire life, I’ve dreamed about this.

"I think I probably had a picture of it, but I think it’s just so much going on in my head right now that I can’t comprehend it.
