Undertaker: WWE legend shares funny story of how he met his wife Michelle McCool
THE UNDERTAKER revealed his wife and fellow WWE great Michelle McCool was initially “terrified” of him.
Undertaker and McCool worked together in Vince McMahon’s promotion from 2006 until 2011, which is when the four-time women’s champion retired from professional wrestling.
Taker revealed that the inaugural Divas Champion was initially intimidated by the WWE legend as well as his fellow WWE great and scripted brother Kane so she avoided them both.
However, The Deadman was impressed with her stunning work ethic as well as her passion for the business and so they got to know each other.
The ex-Divas Champion’s fears were quickly put at ease and so they started dating.
Terrified, did not want anything to do with me
Undertaker was initially against going out with colleagues but ended up breaking his rule and married McCool in 2010.
The Phenom told pastor Ed Young: “When she got there there was two people that she didn’t want to meet.
“Kane and yours truly.
“Terrified, did not want anything to do with me.
“It was funny because she has this unbelievable work ethic.
“She would get to the arenas early and try and get around some of our producers [and] our agents.
“She would pick their brains and try and get them to get in the ring and work with her.
“It just caught my eye cause I was like, ‘No, you never cross over that line’.
“I always told guys, ‘You don’t date people that you work with. This is not gonna work’.
“I said it for years and then I broke my own motto.
“I ended up getting to know her and I was just like, ‘Wow, she’s really passionate about this’.
“You could tell that this is what she really wanted to do, it wasn’t a stair step to Hollywood or anything else. She was passionate.
“Finally, she realised that I wasn’t satan so we ended up dating.”
