Roman Reigns: WWE star opens up about his fears during cancer hell - I was terrified
ROMAN REIGNS opened up about the fears he had while battling leukaemia the last four months.
WWE: Roman Reigns thanks fans for support in cancer battle
Reigns was diagnosed with the terrible disease last October for the second time almost 11 years after putting it in remission.
However, The Big Dog returned last Monday night on RAW and announced that he is once more in remission following a difficult fight with the illness.
The four-time world champion admitted he was “terrified” of what the future holds because he didn’t know what to expect.
The former Universal Champion also stated that his second battle was different because his energy had dropped and his body felt the struggle a lot more.
I was terrified of this
But the ex-WWE Champion always had faith that he will overcome this once more and he did.
Reigns told WWE.com: “You know, I always had faith.
“[But] I was scared like I said out there. I was terrified of this.
“Because you just never know, you know what I mean?
“I’m not a doctor, I’m not a scientist, I’m in God’s hands at that point.
“Hoping that my medical team can make things happen and they did.
“But I always had faith, I always knew. I just didn’t know when.
“I never had a situation like this to this extent where my body really felt it.
“I was a much younger man the first time, 22 years old just spry, spring chicken.
“I’ve been on the road now six, almost seven years, so I could tell that the energy drop was totally different but to be able to bounce back is just completely God-sent.
“I’m ecstatic about it and it doesn’t feel real at this point.
“Feels like I might be going to Disney World, it’s been really cool.”
The Big Dog rose to prominence as part of the legendary Shield stable.
The wrestling hero teamed up with Seth Rollins as well as Dean Ambrose and dominated WWE.
Together they took out some of WWE's biggest legends like John Cena, The Undertaker and CM Punk.
After taking their separate ways they all became world champions.
