Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier: WWE hero reveals key to UFC clash decision
BROCK LESNAR has been linked with a big UFC return match against Daniel Cormier for the Heavyweight Championship.
WWE: Brock Lesnar called out by UFC champion Cormier
The fight hasn’t been made official yet but Lesnar’s WWE advocate Paul Heyman claims the only thing standing in the way of that highly-anticipated match is Cormier and the size of the paycheque.
Heyman stated that when DC decides to get into the Octagon with The Beast and his client is offered the right amount of money then the fight could finally take place.
The legendary manager told TMZ: "As long as Daniel Cormier has the balls to step into the Octagon and put his title up against Brock Lesnar, and UFC comes up with the money for Brock Lesnar, I don't see anything that would keep Brock Lesnar from taking the fight."
Lesnar and Cormier’s intense feud started at UFC 226 last July at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
As long as Daniel Cormier has the balls to step into the Octagon and put his title up against Brock Lesnar, and UFC comes up with the money for Brock Lesnar, I don't see anything that would keep Brock Lesnar from taking the fight.
The Universal Champion walked into the Octagon after DC called him out following his historic first-round knockout victory over Stipe Miocic, which made him the second fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously.
Moments after coming face-to-face, The Beast nearly sparked a brawl by pushing the new two-division champion before delivering a expletive-laden tirade.
UFC President Dana White recently told TMZ that he isn’t sure if the fight will happen but he’d like the UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion to have three more matches before his retirement.
White revealed that he wants the two-division champion to face Jon Jones again but claims the fighter’s team want him to call time on his career now.
Cormier insists he will hang up his gloves after his 40th birthday on March 20.
The 39-year-old fighter though seems very keen to face Lesnar as he called the ex-UFC Heavyweight Champion out after defeating Derrick Lewis at UFC 230.
After the bout, Cormier urged The Conqueror to bring his Universal Championship with him to the Octagon so that he can win that title too.
He said: "Brock Lesnar, when you come, bring that new WWE title.
"I feel like becoming a WWE champion too.
“Bring that belt with you if you come to my house."
Lesnar became the first ever two-time Universal Champion when he defeated Braun Strowman for the vacant title at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
