UFC supremo Dana White reacts to Brock Lesnar's WWE Crown Jewel triumph
UFC President Dana White doesn't mind Brock Lesnar bringing the Universal Championship into the Octagon.
WWE: Brock Lesnar called out by UFC champion Cormier
Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia for the vacant title two weeks after former champion Roman Reigns relinquished the belt.
Reigns stunned the WWE Universe on RAW when he announced he has leukaemia and went back home to battle the terrible illness.
The Beast now carries RAW's premier belt and is expected to undergo the same unpopular part-time schedule he had during his previous title reign.
The Conqueror also seems set to return to UFC for a Heavyweight Championship showdown against Daniel Cormier possibly at UFC 233 in January.
He can bring whatever belt he wants to bring
White was asked during the UFC 232 press conference if he would mind the WWE megastar bringing the Universal Championship to his promotion.
The President insists he would have no probelm with that but thinks WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon wouldn't be keen.
He said: "I don’t think Vince would let him wear that into the Octagon, to be honest with you.
"He can bring whatever belt he wants to bring.
"I could care less."
Lesnar defeated Strowman at the King Saud University Stadium thanks to a little help from Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin.
Corbin knocked The Monster Among Men out with the championship belt before the bell and the challenger was unable to build any offence ever since.
The UFC legend delivered five vicious F5s, one of which took place at ringside, and made history as he became the first ever two-time Universal Champion.
The ex-UFC Heavyweight Champion is now set to face WWE Champion AJ Styles at Survivor Series on November 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
A match against Cormier seems to have become more possible after UFC 230, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York.
DC retained the Heavyweight Championship after defeating Derrick Lewis via submission with a rear-naked choke.
After the bout, the two-division champion called Lesnar out and urged him to bring his title with him so that he can win that too.
Lesnar and Cormier’s feud started at UFC 226 where DC beat Stipe Miocic and became the second fighter in UFC history to hold two titles at the same time.
After the fight the two-division champion invited Lesnar to join him in the Octagon and that led to an intense confrontation.
Moments after coming face-to-face the Universal Champion nearly sparked a brawl by pushing the UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion before delivering a profanity-laden tirade.
Lesnar enjoyed an impressive three-year stint at White's promotion where he became UFC Heavyweight Champion after beating Randy Couture.
